How To Repair The Pump Shaft Of A Magnetic Pump
Sanitary Negative Pressure Pump is a common and widely used pump product. The steel used for magnetic pump bearings is high-carbon chromium bearing steel. Because the smelting of high-quality bearing steel is vacuum deoxidation and electromagnetic stirring, the oxide content is low. It can withstand large contact pressure stress and large high variable tensile stress. After heat treatment, the raceway hardness of the shaft is 58-62HRC.
If the magnetic pump shaft has cracks or heavy wear on the surface, it will affect the strength of the centrifugal pump shaft and should be replaced with a new shaft. If the pump shaft has slight bending or slight wear, hooks, etc., it should be repaired. So, what are the repair methods for the magnetic pump shaft?
1. Repair of magnetic pump shaft hooks and wear
The pump shaft journal with sliding bearings is scratched or worn out due to poor lubrication or lubricating oil bringing in iron filings, sand particles, etc., and the journal of the pump shaft is worn at the rubber guide bearing. Generally, it is repaired by plating, copper plating, and stainless steel plating, and then processed into a standard diameter by turning or grinding.
2. Repair of the bending of the pump shaft of the magnetic pump
For the pump shaft with a smaller diameter, a copper sheet can be placed at the bending part and hammered to straighten it; for the pump shaft with a larger diameter and less severe bending, a screw corrector can be used to straighten it.
3. Repair of the keyway of the magnetic pump
If the surface of the keyway is rough and the damage is not serious, it can be polished with a file. If the damage is serious, the old groove can be welded and a new groove can be opened elsewhere, but the pump shaft with a larger transmission power must be replaced with a new shaft.
4. Repair of the thread of the magnetic pump shaft
If the damage to the thread at the end of the pump shaft is minor, the damaged thread can be repaired with an assorted file and then continued to be used. If the damage is serious, first turn the end of the pump shaft smaller, then press a bushing on it, and turn the thread on the bushing; you can also use electric or gas welding to weld the thread at the end of the pump shaft, and then turn the thread.
