Anti-corrosion Measures For Stainless Steel Magnetic Pumps

At present, the chemical pumps used by major petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, printing and dyeing chemical enterprises in my country can be divided into metal pumps and non-metal pumps. However, corrosion resistance is generally made of stainless steel. Stainless steel pumps include CIP Return Pump, stainless steel magnetic pumps, etc. Most non-metallic ones are cast iron and cast steel outer shells with high molecular polyethylene linings, such as desulfurization pumps and mortar pumps. There are also fluoroplastic linings, such as fluoroplastic pumps, fluoroplastic magnetic pumps, fluoroplastic self-priming pumps, etc. Today we will talk about the anti-corrosion measures of stainless steel magnetic pumps in stainless steel pumps. Only with effective measures can the pumps have a long life and be safe to use in chemical production.
According to physical analysis, since ordinary chemical pumps are basically two-stage motor pumps with a speed of 2900r/min, cavitation and turbulent corrosion caused by excessive speed are the main causes of corrosion. F, Cl dissociation and local corrosion and increased solid content are another important reason for the aggravation of corrosion. Therefore, the pump needs to be modified. Through querying and testing relevant information, stainless steel material was selected, and a new stainless steel magnetic pump was also used. The performance parameters of the pump are consistent with the previous pump, while the speed is reduced by half to 1450r/min, and the corrosion rate is significantly reduced. At the same time, dynamic sealing is used to effectively prevent leakage.

Improving the material of the pump

Through the analysis of the medium composition, it is decided to use a high-grade stainless steel, in which the composition of Cr, Mo, and Ni is proportioned and controlled accordingly, and a certain amount of Cll elements are added to improve the alloy's anti-F corrosion performance, while improving the heat treatment process level of parts and the precision of spare parts processing. Stainless steel 304: general model; that is, 18/8 stainless steel. Products such as: corrosion-resistant containers, tableware, furniture, railings, medical equipment. The standard composition is 18% chromium plus 8% nickel. It is a non-magnetic stainless steel whose metallographic structure cannot be changed by heat treatment. The GB grade is 0Cr18Ni9.

304 L: Same characteristics as 304, but low carbon, so it is more corrosion-resistant and easy to heat treat, but the mechanical properties are poor, suitable for welding and products that are not easy to heat treat.

Practice has proved that the measures taken by our factory are very effective in ensuring the safety and stability of various corrosive media, can significantly solve the problem of corrosion, and achieve better economic and environmental benefits. Therefore, we believe that with the improvement and rapid development of manufacturing technology in the manufacturing industry, the pump problems in the chemical industry will be gradually solved.
